* 16-session curriculum (for each 6th–8th grades), 8 lessons & 8 follow ups

Some issues addressed in the eight sessions are:

·         Categories of abuse/violence

·         Stereotyping and how it leads to violence

·         Bystander behavior - safely intervene and know when to get help

·         Anger/intense emotions/stress and cooling down strategies

·         Friendships and dating relationships (for 8th graders only)

·         3 types of power: false, giving up, and real (for 8th graders only)

·         Self-esteem, “shielding oneself”, and building real confidence

·         Cliques and peer pressure

·         Sexual harassment (for 8th graders only)
